Want a hat without bells? It's easy to do:
1) Rez the hat
2) Right-click edit
3) Ctrl-Shift-L to Unlink.
4) Pick up or delete the bell-and-ribbon.
5) Pick up and wear the hat.
Now you have a Santa Hat without bells!
