The Into the Light upright piano comes in 3 different textures included - oak, teak and black ash.
Each piano comes with a choice of 2 different seat textures - green velvet or red stripe.

The piano plays 23 good quality tunes (a demo of the music can be found inworld at the Lisp store).

The stool is separate so you can move it in or out and resize to fit your avatar. All sits can be adjusted and saved
to fit a number of different avatar sizes.

There are various piano playing animations for 1 or 2 avatars, play solo or play together for a duet.

The music book has options for:

- Select the play mode from all songs, random, or selected
- Select the sequence mode from repeat or play once
- Select from any number of songs
- Play, Next, Previous & Stop
- Volume control
- Optional text display of status
- Access control for Owner, Group, or All
- Wav file time selectable from 5 to 10 seconds in .05 second intervals
- Play, Stop and bring up menu by touch, chat command, or linked message interface

The piano is 3li and the stool 2li (total of 5li for the set). 100% mesh.
Copy and mod ok but the scripts are no mod.

All Lisp mesh items are created by myself using 3d programs.

Beautiful product, but extremely bad LOD

The mesh
The model turns to a right mess of a few triangles when you zoom out just a little, inversely at the highest LOD it is absolutely excessive in the amount of triangles it uses, in details people aren't even going to see unless you enter wireframe mode (every corner, (even of the keys!) have been smoothened with 8 or more polygons, the foot pedals are a complete fill in wireframe mode, the wheels are very excessive aswell)

The textures
The textures are very pretty. There are about 5 1024x1024x24 textures for the main model, and another 256x512x32 for the shadow, one 1024x1024x24 texture for the chair. Not too bad, little on the high side.

The content
I haven't tested the songs yet, but seems to be a few Kevin MacLeod tracks.
It only uses 1 mono script that idles at 64K/0.000972ms server time, which is very tidy.

All in all, it would be a nice thing to have if it wasn't for the LOD. It ruins it as a furniture piece and I really cannot use this.

Poor LOD, I'm disappointed

The creator was really careful with the detail. The overall design is really good, but the mesh will collapse at your face as you walk 6 feet away from it. Tunes are fine, but it won't make up for the scrambled eggs appearance it takes when you look at it from across an 8x8 meters living room.
It would be a wonderful piece if not for that detail. This means it will only be good for very small spaces where people wouldn't really put a piano in, I suppose.
That being said I don't think it will leave my inventory any time soon.

What a truly amazing creation! This piano is everything I was looking for in Second Life! The highest quality, easy to use and it's charming! The sounds are smooth and the player is easy to use! Truly exquisite and for a very good price!
