You CAN modify the mountain lodge:
Please note that in your inventory, the cabin will appear as a "no modify" object. This is because it contains scripts in the fires and windows that are not modifiable. Only these scripts are not modifiable. The cabin itself can indeed be modified.
When you rez the box that contains the house, a notecard will appear that will guide you through the setup process. The house will rez from a menu on touch and can be positioned simply by moving the box that it rezzed from. If you make a mistake, dont worry, you can always rez a new one and start over. If you get a message that one or more of the pieces could not align, try moving the box or touch the box, select remove, and move it to a different place before rezzing it again.
