A matzo or matzah is a bit like a kosher saltine/salada cracker - crunchy, mostly flavourless and best with other stuff on it. It's traditionally eaten during the week of Passover in lieu of all other bread and wheat products (leavened flour is called chametz and is forbidden during this time).
This is simply my recreation of an Aviv branded box of matzah with high-quality scans of the textures placed on a regular prim cube. Do anything you like with it and happy Passover/Pesach :)
My personal favorite thing to do with matzah is coat it with caramel and chocolate. Here is my recipe for chocolate caramel matzah, given to me by my rabbi:
4-6 sheets of matzah
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
One and a half cups of chocolate chips
Optional garnishes: crushed nuts, etc
Preheat the oven to 350F
Line 11x17 baking sheet with foil, then line with parchment paper
Line the bottom of the baking sheet with matza
In a sauce pan melt the butter and brown sugar together. Stir til it boils
Let it boil 2-3 minutes
Remove from heat and add salt and vanilla
Quickly pour over matza, spread quickly.
Bake 10-15 minutes, watch carefully as it burns quickly
Remove and cover with chocolate chips. Let it stand about 5 minutes
Spread the chocolate over the caramel
Sprinkle with sea salt and any optional garnishes.
When cool...break into pieces.
