Larsson Authentic Medical RP Scale Says Height & Weight & BMI! Version 3.0
This special item is designed as the classic style balance beam weight scale you see in medical offices everywhere. Version 3.0 was updated and released on March 10, 2022.
When placed in your office or home you will find it fills a space of about 1.8 meters tall; 0.5 meters wide (side to side); and 0.8 meters deep (front to back). It's weight is 3 prims. It is copy only. I designed it for authentic size, proportions and appearance, so there is no need to change it in any way.
You stand on the scale (with AO off is best) and your avatar will begin my original looped animation involving hands reaching up to touch and appear to adjust the balance weights and then returning down to resting position. This animation was very carefully designed for realism. Again this is looped, so the animation repeats while you are standing on the scale.
This scale is equipped with AV Sitter so you can adjust your avatar position if needed whenever you stand on the scale.
Touch the weights and you will see an open chat report of your avatar's weight, height, and BMI (body mass index). This is information that can be used for medical role play activities.
Touch the little button below the weights and you will also see an open chat report of your avatar's "script presssure," also known more commonly as script count.
This information can be used as a role play proxy for blood pressure. For example today my "script pressure" was 62 over 50. In this way the script pressure report format gives the actual script count "over 50" so that higher than 50 is reflects increasingly risk of lag and lower than 50 means chances are better for moving around and enjoying your SL.
The script count report is quite accurate, however the LSL statistics for avatar size and weight have some potential for variance.
When it comes to SL's Agent Size statistics these days, please do not expect clinical accuracy. It is important to know that LSL scripting parameter's for avatar weight and height bear only a general resemblance to what you see. Indeed, these statistics now reflect an overall "blended assessment" of the combined shapes of your avatar and its bounding box as well as the effects of your various attachments. You will also notice the statistics vary depending on the clothing and hair and shoes you wear (sort of like RL in that way).
Combine these complexities with the tendency for over sized avatar scale in SL and you can see the potential for disconnects between avatar appearance and results from the scripting statistics for avatar size and weight.
Nevertheless, this classic looking balance beam weight scale can add both a sense of realism and some interesting avatar assessment and comparison information to your medical role play scenarios.
