Dear SL Friends,
Pontoon motor boats are becoming very popular with recreational boaters. They are more easily and economically constructed than boats with hulls since they commonly consist of two transverse float tanks and a flat deck with railing. The tanks generally have a great deal of reserve buoyancy allowing for substantial carrying capacity.
Lifestyle wise, pontoon boats are a highly enjoyable way to enjoy a wide range of activities on the water. They are comfortable, allow for great visibility, provide a substantial platform for a wide range of water sports and activities, and lend themselves well to socializing among the passengers.
So of course this Larsson Lake Time Pontoon is made for fun with friends. There are seats for five passengers along with the captain. Each passenger seat has its own enjoyable sitting loop animation, and the captain's loop animation is one I specially made myself. Please see photos for picture of each passenger animation.
Notice there are also two puppies aboard, just touch them to make visible or invisible as desired.
Water speed is governed by a seven speed outboard style engine so you can travel at reasonable speeds appropriate for a pontoon boat of this size. They range from 5 up to full speed ahead at 22 knots. Reverse is set at 3 knots. Use the on-screen jump up and crouch down arrows on your viewer or the page up and down keys on your keyboard to change the speeds. There is a chat message telling you gear numbers as you change them.
Steering has been adjusted so as to avoid quirky over sensitivity and give you the feeling of steering a pontoon boat. Little turning taps in a sequence give the most realistic turning performance. Indeed, the steering radius feels much like a real life pontoon boat (the transverse floats do not allow them to turn on a dime).
There is water spray from the jet style propeller on the outboard motor. You will also notice a gentle spray suggesting a bow wave near the front of each of the transverse floats. For realism the spray only appears when you move in the water and if you come to a stop the spray also stops. The engine sound is made only when in motion and this also gives you a nice clue as to when forward or reverse momentum ends.
Key an "h" if you have to sound an emergency warning, or a "b" if you wish to signal a friendly beep-beep.
Notice there are proper red and green navigation lights as well as a white stern light on the stern railing near the life preserver.
There is also an advanced lighting system spotlight in the center of the bow area. Touch the yellow button on the steering column to turn the light on or off. Be sure you activate advanced lighting in your viewer graphics preferences to use this feature.
This vessel is sold as copy only. If needed, you can easily adjust your height on the steering wheel using your quick preference settings, and touch the outboard engine if you need to resize the watercraft. The blue resize menu will appear on your viewer screen.
Let me know if you have other ideas about cargo or other features, I am always happy to update my products with new features.
Thanks, best wishes and stay safe,
Lisle
