Hello! It's been awhile since I added something new to my Marketplace Store. So far, one of my most popular items is the Maitreya Auto-Select ankle set, and one of my friends who is using it suggested that I also upload this little set I created for myself. I hope you find it worth having and take a minute to do a short review in the near future, just saying if it works for you and what you might like to see improved.
Why did I create this set? What is this set? Who might really want this set? How do you use this set? Glad you asked!
I have a bit of a footwear problem: from flip-flops, to heels to HEELS and maybe ballet shoes. I love them all and really enjoy adding something nice to my Inventory. But if the shoe is buried in the floor or floating in the air, I find it really takes away from the look I was trying to achieve. Many shoes I buy do not have a "standard shoe" included. Some people simply adjust their hover every time they change shoe type. But, as you know, I love creating outfits and including as much auto-set features as possible. So, this is what I did.
This is simply a set of five (5) standard Second Life "shoes" created using the Inventory-> New-> Clothing-> Shoes. I adjusted the settings so the "shoes" themselves are completely invisible but I learned that by adjusting the Platform Height I was effectively adjusting my Hover, the distance my feet would seem to be above ground. As with my auto-select ankle set, I created these settings to correspond to a Platform Height of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%, with is basically five settings of "positive hover" (because the zero is flat).
If you are like me and my relationship to clothing, you might use a wardrobe system or an outfit system and keep things in folders. I use an RLV-based wardrobe and each outfit has a folder for my feet. That folder includes the mesh shoes, the auto-select ankle prim and one of these hover shoes. When you slect the folder and "Add to Current Outfit" all three are added, your feet are positioned and your shoes look great. Well, assuming you buy nice shoes. You do, right? Good!
These are intended to be Copy, Mod and Transfer (Full Permissions). You should feel free to fine tune them as you like. For example, I had a pair of mesh platform shoes that looked too bulky when fully above floor so I used the Hover(75) instead of the Hover(100) so a portion of the platform was nicely submerged in the floor. I could have simply edited the "shoes" named Hover (100), reduced the Platform Height to the preferred number (say, 85) and saved under the new name. Try to keep you originals but I expect these to be in the store and re deliverable as long as I have an account.
Oh, yes, please don't sell these to others as I understand some are doing with other free work.

This is a can't live without it item if you change your ankles. It auto-adjusts your hover for various angles
This free item includes fine-tune hover adjustments from flat-to-ballet. Then, it adds attachments so you can go even higher, up to 2.0 meters off the ground. That might be just what you need for character avatars. I did once see a store display selling something similar at a silly price so my sure to get these in case you need them later.
This is very good for keeping your feet on the ground and not far over it.
I had shoes that had me in the ground a little and adding one of the "hover" shoebases really helped. I played a little with the RLV-based "high hover" and maybe they are for special avatars or people who paint ceilings, but they work too once I figured out how to turn on RLV in Firestorm.
I will use mstly the basic hovers of 0-100 and think they work nicely so far.
Neat idea, uses shoe base up to a few cm in hover then uses a prim to as much as 200cm
Cool beans! I can totally fine tune my hover to not only footwear but activities, up to 2 meters of hover. Nicely done! Thank you. Great with the auto-ankles, too.
Wow, this is really cool! The v1.3 can raise you up to 2.0 meters!
I was told these were updated to include a new option for higher hovers. It have a new folder of attachments that you place as links with your special platforms or whatever and you can increase your hover height up to the limit of the Quick Prefs setting, 2 meters. I don't know if there are plans to go higher, but these definately will keep your characters or very tall platforms out of the floor!
They require RLV be enabled for that portion of this set but I always have that on anyway.
I was going to take off one-start for the Permissions, but she said she plans to change that soon.

These are great for all of your shoe height adjustments. I put them on automatically and forget about it.
I found these and place them in my #RLV folders and then as I add shoes to various outputs I just link in the appropriate hover. No more searching for the odd shoebase that will work, this package includes 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 for flat through ballet dancer.
The containers attach to your top right hud position so no one even sees them. I would like to see them auto-detach but maybe that will come in the next release.
