MCD Venue Donations system - a Monkey Corp Production
Overview
This striking system is designed to take the guess work out of "where should i tip?" it manages all venue donations quickly, cleanly and effortlessly.
It is quick and easy to set up with no notecards and works sim wide.
it is also dynamic so you can add components any time which will auto configure and display all the relevant information.
It is already set up to work with the MCD Tip & Visitor Tracker System + MCD Promote (which will be released after the end of the beta test)
Setup
1. Rez the Donations Server
a. on rezzing a menu will pop up with various customisation options which will be explained later.
2. Rez the components you wish to use and place them around your land.
a. on rezzing a menu will pop up asking you which donations server you wish to connect to, you really only need one server but the system is designed to cater for multiple systems should the need ever arise.
It really is that easy, no messing around
Components explained
Donations Board - shows your message, last tipper, their profile pic, the target amount, total donated and % along with a progress bar. People touch this board to donate to the venue.
Donations Metre - This is a simple tip jar which shows the last donor, total amount tipped, target and %, it also has a thermometer style progress bar. People touch this to tip the venue.
MCD Donations System tip jar maker - This is a script that you can place in any item you wish to turn it into a tip jar, shows the last donor, total amount tipped, target and %. People touch this to tip the venue.
Donations Top Board - This tracks the last 250 donors total contributions. The top 15 will be displayed on this board.
Configuring.
When you rez the server a menu will pop up with various options, you can also at anytime touch the server to get this list up.
Options explained
Tip Message - this is the message sent to the people that donate to you. You can use the following dynamic fields
#first = tippers first name
#amount = amount they donated
Board Message - This is the message displayed on the board, use this to encourage people to donate to the venue. The board will automatically arrange the text so it all fits perfectly on the screen.
Goal L$ - This sets the target amount you are hoping to raise.
Clear L$ - This will wipe all the boards and tip jars setting them back to 0 - NOTE : This will not clear the top 250 board as you might want to keep that going forever - you can reset the top 250 board by touching it and choosing reset.
All of the above can be set or changed at anytime and it will not effect the data already collected, for example you can change the tip message or board message, or if you reach your goal you could increase this slightly thus setting a new goal.
