Fue hasta la década de los 50 que las mujeres comenzaron a participar en la charrería, con lo que surgiría la escaramuza que conocemos hoy: grupos de entre ocho y doce mujeres, ataviadas con hermosos vestidos de adelitas o chinas poblanas, mientras cabalgan con una coordinación impresionante al son de la música tradicional mexicana.
