what is the deal?

Why are these shoes plus the demo attached to my hands? add them... wear them, they go to my hands. I'm not understanding why these don't simply add to my feet.It says they're rigged? Must I unlink them and add them myself to each foot?..Ive never had such troubles with a shoe.
