Add/wear the item from your inventory and click anywhere around you to shoot beams from the gun.
This item can be manually adjusted for your avatar by right clicking on the worn item, choosing 'edit', then using the edit window accordingly.
** REMEMBER to ALWAYS make a copy of wearable items BEFORE trying to modify them in any way! This will help ensure that you do not need to unpack a fresh copy, or need to retrieve a redelivery. **
