This item is one piece. You can't unlink. so if you want to lay it flat it will not be evenly flat. The creator provides three from cover textures, two sides headers, and the paper edge textures. Great for an accent for a coffee table. Might want to buy the magazine holder. As the creator has one already made, or just make it yourself.
