Mailbox Message Center is one more online indicator in SL. It looks like a rural mailbox to help transmit the visual message it is also an SL messaging device. When your customers or friends use the mailbox to send you a message of up to 250 characters it will always send the message to the email address you have indicated in the internal notecard. Edit the top line of the notecard, save and you're done. Additionally, you have the option to receive IMs of that same message, IF you are online. This function can also be turned off. Should you wish to receive the message as an IM and you are NOT online the mailbox WILL NOT send the message to IM, only to email. In this way the mailbox never adds to capping your IMs when you are away. The mailbox is super simple for both you and your patrons to use and will look great in front of your home or business inworld.
