Welcome to the Coagulate Mailbox. This manual will cover the basic operations of this device.

The mailbox operates much like a suggestions box and can be used as such.

The basic operational lifecycle of the device is as follows:
1) Your customers wish to deposit a suggestion, note, or similar, and write their notecard
2) They hold control, and drag+drop the notecard on the mailbox
3) The mailbox notices the change and optionally informs its "administrators" (you can have many), optionally updates its shape if you are using the default shape, and optionally displays appropriate floating text
4) Your administrator wanders along, clicks the mailbox, hits "Deliver" and gets the items, which are then removed from the mailbox.
Rinse, repeat, profit (?)

You can configure the shape changing, floating text, notifications (and notification text), as well as the administrators list by editing the !CONFIG notecard inside the mailbox.

To do this, right click the mailbox, hit Edit. Go to the contents tab and double click on the !CONFIG notecard.

The configuration will open up in a window and you can change the various values there, they are described in the !CONFIG notecard its self.

You can add multiple administrators through the "admin=" line, however you will need to know the "User Key" of the administrators, (also known as the User UUID). This can be obtained by right opening the profile for the user you want to add, at the top in most viewers is a field called "Key" which contains a string of numbers, letters and dashes. Copy and paste this into your notecard, e.g.
admin=8dc52677-bea8-4fc3-b69b-21c5e2224306
would add me as an administrator of your mailbox (please DONT make me an administrator of your mailbox unless i should be, otherwise i'll come steal your mail and tell you off before delivering it to you!)

The device naturally ignores notecards called !CONFIG and !Instructions.

Special mention and thanks to WolfGang Senizen for assistance with creating a mesh for this product, keeping it as a singular prim. The prototype version of this product used a sculpt based solution which resulted in the object taking on the typical "egg shape" of a loading sculpt while it was switching between its shapes. Very helpful and helped polish this product off!

  • Notecard message storage
  • Notify administrator(s) when there is a new message
  • Changes look when mail waiting
  • Look change can be disabled to use a custom prim design
