Rezz or wear the gender checker, and touch it. The object will announce in the local chat whether your shape is set to male or female. It will ignore non-binary genders; if you're wearing one, you probably know full well what it is.
It is incredibly easy to accidentally leave your avatar's gender setting incorrectly. This is not a big deal, but causes some inconveniences, most notably with AV-sitter when you're constantly sitting in the wrong gender's seat.
This simple tool helps you check whether your avatar is wearing a shape for male or female. If it is wrong, simply go change your shape's set correctly and save. (This requires a modifiable shape, but normally, shapes are sold in a modifiable state.)
The shape will change slightly, and you can adjust the shape easier when it corresponds to your accurate genders' sliders better.
