Mancala is one of the oldest games in the world. It has been known in Africa for over a thousand years, and there is some evidence that a variant of it was played by the Ancient Egyptians. There are a number of different variations of it and it goes by several different names, such as Kalah and Bantumi. The version implemented here is the variant most commonly known in the USA and Europe.
Mancala is a game of pure skill and is easy to learn. A child can pick up the basic game-play in a matter of minutes. However, when you start to play you will see that there are some quite deep strategies involved.
The standard Mancala set has 36 stones and is 40 prims in total. The Master Edition Mancala set has 48 stones, which leads to a longer game and gives scope for more strategy. It is 52 prims in total.
