Mandarin Duck Female

Female Mandarin duck. She's not as gaudy as her mate, but has a sweet look.

As a symbol of conjugal happiness, these birds were commonly used to decorate Chinese wedding garments and gifts. The birds were also popular in Europe because they are just pretty. The imports were arriving as early as the 1700s, so they are legitimate in any post-medieval theme.
