This statute is slightly larger than life (just like Adonis himself). Adonis was a beautiful man who got mixed up with the goddess Venus and gored to death by a boar. I am sure there is a message there somewhere. Not sure I agree with it though. My Adonis is very much alive. (I keep expecting one of those comic book glints to sparkle off his teeth.)
