A marquetry commode by Bartolomeo Manghetti, circa 1780. Of pure neoclassical lines, the commode is entirely clad in elaborate marquetry, incorporating woods such as rosewood, kingwood, and ebony, along with delicate ivory inlays. The decorative motifs consist of stylized arabesques and candelieri flanking the corners, with brass handles.
