This is an attachment that encourages in-World chat. I hope you enjoy using it.

The more you chat to others the more points you can earn to get released or get to the next level. However be careful what you say, there are good words and bad ones.

Good words such as Mistress or mentioning people's names will win you more points than just general chat.

Bad words such as "I" or "No" may get replaced and will count against your score - it will take longer to get to the next level using such language.

To get a list just click the HUD to get a list of good & bad words and the score (positive or negative) they attract for their use.

When you attach the Chatterbox HUD it will lock with some simple restraints and you start where you left off. The first time it gives you this notecard & the target score is deliberately low / easily achieved so you can try it out. After that it becomes progressively more difficult

Your score/system status is shown on the text line just under the HUD. If you don't see it edit the attachment & drag it up (or appropriately).

If you complete a level it unlocks and auto detaches. The next time you attach it you will continue from the next level.

Chatterbox Settings Notecard
-----------------------------------

The system is driven by a notecard. To edit you must not be locked (or you can rez on the ground and edit it).
If you reset the script then scores reset to zero, however changing the chatterbox settings notecard will just result in the changes being imported into the script's database.

The chatterbox settings notecard has the following format:

// is a comment

@ is an RLV command over and above the detach=n which is executed every time it is locked on (i.e. after relogs). The RLV command line in the notecard may have multiple RLV commands separated by commas.
If there are many RLV command lines then they are each executed up to the current level (eg: if you are at level 2 and there are 4 @ entries then the first 3 are executed (i.e. 0,1,2) - so they are additive.

The rest is a list of special words or the form (in lower case)

word,score,replacement

Where:
"word" is the lowercase form of the word you wish to search for in chat. It can be a phrase such as "thank you" (no quotes or capitals)
"score" is the score to add (so negative is bad) if found
"replacement" if needed is the text to replace "word" with if found. Capitalisation will be retained. Leave it blank if you do not want to replace the word.

There is a limit to the number of words (probably 50 or more though depending on their length) and clicking the HUD displays the amount of free memory.

Editing the HUD
------------------

You may find reading the HUD difficult with the colours I have used or perhaps it it not positioned to your liking so you may modify it within reason (at your risk but I will help if you get stuck).

The HUD consists of some 3D text and two flat mesh prims (2x16 characters) for the scores. You may colour, resize or reposition them however you wish but do not unlink them. As it locks on attach then its best to do this by rezzing in world & pressing Ctrl+T to show the near transparent sections.

  • A novel idea to encourage conversation in Second Life
  • Uses RLV to lock & restrain wearer
  • Analyses chat from wearer scoring each phrase said
  • Multiple levels with more challenging restraints
  • HUD attachment - 100% mesh
