The Mauritius Blue Pigeon (Alectroenas nitidissima) is an extinct species of blue pigeon formerly endemic to the Mascarene island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar.

This is a small pack that features a:
- 1 land impact 3D mesh Mauritius Blue Pigeon (silent)
- 1 land impact 3D mesh Mauritius Blue Pigeon (that will randomly give its call). I created a unique, but plausible call for this extinct bird based on a call of its close living relative - the ruddy pigeon.
- 5 land impact museum 3D Mauritius Blue Pigeonspecimen, complete with a glass casing and plaque (see screenshots).
- 2 land impact Mauritius Blue Pigeon nest with eggs (see attached screenshot)

This mesh bird, its shape and coloring is closely based on the drawings and paintings of this extinct animal.

The feathers on the head, neck and breast of the Mauritius Blue Pigeon were silvery white, long, stiffened and pointed, especially around the neck. A patch of bright red skin surrounded the eyes, and extended across the cheeks to the beak, which was greenish with a dark tip. The plumage of the body was indigo, and the back, scapular feathers and wings were metallic blue.

This species is sadly now lost forever. It suffered greatly due to deforestation of Mauritius and in 1826 the last known individual was shot dead. Since then nobody has ever again seen this colorful bird.

This is a recreation of this long vanished bird. It cannot be seen in real life anyome, so the least I could do is make a small homage to this lost bird.

Enjoy!
