the best bull of SL
an amazing and funny game.
this one is controlled by you, and you fight for real, not a stupid one where you sit and just wait.
the world score disappeared recently, but it's still working very well.
Latest world record was 155 ( an alien did it ? my own is around 50 my gosh )
It's would be interesting to create a group for all owners of this bull, for make, in order to know where are places for find it and fight :D
Lot of fun!
My friends and I enjoy riding this bull. I love the fact it comes with highscores and it is not difficult to play it.
Best Bull Riding game in SL
Recently the Global online score table has disappeared. Seems that the Internet host has taken down the makers pages and this has wiped out all the linked Global scores on the grid.
Pity, as I managed to get into the global top 5 a little while ago and hope that the creator is able to get this resolved or find hosting somewhere else.
This is still a fun game though and I still enjoy having a ride anywhere I see one of these rezzed out.
Best mechanical bulls in SL
I don't know why these don't have a higher star rating, because it has no instructions? It's not difficult to work out. Rez, sit on it and use the arrow keys up and down to stay on. SO much fun, and they look great too. Hours of fun to be had kicking my husbands ass on the scoreboard ;) We've tried lots of different versions and this really is the best one we found on SL.
Awesomely built contraption
The mesh looks good, I'm not sure about it's texture space since it's no mod but it has two texture zones, so worst case scenario two 1024 textures + materials. Materials are done well and give shine and bump to things that need it and stay away from things that don't. Materials add nice a little extra detail, like wrinkles in the base padding without having to work that into the base geometry and needlessly raise model complexity.
The scripting is excellent. It works smoothly, it acccounts for lag by sort of pausing/slowing the game and timer when you hit big waves of it. This is coded by a someone who knows their stuff and doesn't put a single script in every single sub object. So you got just 1 script for the whole bull and one script for the whole scoreboard, as you should.
Animations are done rather well, they blend in well with the bulls motions and sell the nature of the game rather well.
As for how does the game play? Well you got a little gauge that aligns itself with the camera (nice touch) and shows your balance. The balance will shift up and down. You gotta rapidly press forward and backwards (s and w or up and down arrow) to adjust your balance. This is rapid fire presses of the key, holding down won't cut down. Be careful though, the gauge will carry momentum and can swing the other way too ahrd, forcing you to balance against your own overcompensation. The game requires some finesse.
It includes a scoreboard this scoreboard tracks local daily, weekly, and all time high scores as well as global high scores.
My only complaint is instructions on how to play were not clear. We were falling off left and right before we realized "Oh, you don't hold down on the key, instead you gotta rapid tap it". Except I just wrote that and you just read it, so now you understand. If the maker is reading. I'd suggest putting something akin to that in your product blurb in the marketplace.
Not easy
but with a little practice it is lots of fun
