Basilicas have been used as public buildings for the conducting of business and legal matters, in Roman cities, since the Ist century, and before that in Greek cities.Since the IVth century they've been used for religious purposes.
This building is inspired to the earlier designs of medieval romanesque basilicas, thus a transition period that makes it both fit, in a medieval setting, to be used as a church, tribunal or a scribery.
The basilica features with sculpted stone buttresses, wooden beaming, a sculpted wooden roof, romanesque arches, and three beautiful internal stained glass windows.
