great looks, shoddy engine
The cart looks absolutely great. The design has a lot of love pured into it and it shows. I can see myself having a load of fun with this during some immersive RP.
It even comes with options for a passenger, a drape cover and it allows you to sell items.
The package even comes witha version that has a floating text over it which you can set up.
That said, the carts vehicle side is based off of an older vehicle engine, which the creator of the cart adapted into working for the cart. Its 'old' and feels old. The cart tends to bank left and right even without 'giving gass' so to speak. You can turn this off however and even tweak the starting position, whether you are parker or start driving as soon as you sit down. Though i kinda wish this was already off by default.
My current big issues with this product is:
* That the animations for the passenger (while they can be set just as the driver) are stuck in what they are. You cannot choose other options, despite being given at least 6 per mode ( drive, idle and park). As soon as you switch once or twice, it will move you for the example, but it takes on the last animation pose and keeps being stuck on that one. When you leave the menu, it will automatically revert to the default, so none of it even mattered to begin with, which is odd....
* The diver block is so massive that the passenger can only sit on the back of the cart by mousing over a small point on the right wheel to find their own 'seat'.
* Lastly, the cart moves 'way' too fast... This used to be an engine for combustion vehicles and it shows. Even at its hard locked, slowest setting, you still speed along in bursts and will move (or i should say, 'glide') along the floor faster than someone running. You never feel like you're actually pulling this cart and you move so fast, that the animations really do not match at all.
I would have loved to see this thing have more weight to it. Perhpas in future versions?
