This hair is mesh animated and designed for use with pony avatars.
The animation is designed to be as efficient as I can make it. It is not done with alpha swapping, or sculpt animation, but instead using the mesh UVs and a texture with alpha.

Not much I can really say besides that. With some modding you can also fit it onto other models like OpenPony
I can't believe I didn't find this sooner!
I've been using an old, very outdated version of Serp's hair for many MANY years. I think I knew it had been updated to mesh but either didn't hop on the wagon at the time and forgot, or I did on another account and didn't know at that time how to modify the texture (I've only gotten in to textures in the past 3-4 years).
With my intro story out of the way, I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS HAIR. It looks much smoother than the old version, and once you understand the PNG Texture for animating it (included with the purchase) you're good to go. It's very simple with the basic building/texture knowledge. I'm not sure if the creator is still making pony things anymore, but I'd love to see what they have to offer for products in the future if they are!

I made this fit a anthro pony AV an' it works wonderful well. The sense o' movement really makes the difference!
