Aloha!
My first ever product was a box of fires. Made of regular prims, they averaged a prim count of eleven. At long last I've revisited them in mesh. The animated fire, the best I've seen, is still the same, although I can no longer find it elsewhere in SL. LI is down to 4-5. They smoke and sound like crackling fires. If you want the sound or the smoke removed, just delete the scripts and duplicate the fire, or take it back into inventory and re-rez.

All fires are copy/modify, so you can experiment!
