Mesh Materials Alien Lamp Post Version 1

Details

What might an alien lamp post look like? I tried to answer this question by building one.

The result is an interesting mix of harsh industrial & elegant organic curves that manages to look slightly aeriform while still maintaining the structural intensity one would expect from a technologically advanced civilization.

The post includes two discreet lights, both of which are independently touch activated (touch the actual element). They also use projected textures for more authentic performance. The scripts are full-perm and light color can be easily changed via a single vector.

Textures are 1024^2 - defuse & specular, but no normal map. Land impact for the whole thing is only 3 so you can easily fill a whole street without too high a cost.

For best experience please use the latest official viewer and set graphics to "ultra". If light doesn't project right it is because your settings are too low.

I love items with interesting form and that show skill and imagination in their creation. Works as advertised and looks good, low prim and will add that special look to whatever you decide to use them for.
