To get it not to disappear, click it and choose "temp off" in the menu.
Sadly, this makes it operational to the owner only, and trying to chose "Group" or "anyone" will turn on the temp prim and it deletes itself if not sat upon within 30 seconds.

vanishing act....
yes it's free, but that is the good part. It doesn't stay rezzed for more than about 60 seconds, I put it out twice.....it poofed both times.
