Created in 1977 by Bob Salmon with the aim of reconnecting with the adventurous spirit of the first transatlantic races, and organized every odd year since then, the race, the 24th edition of the event which will start on September 24, 2023 will bring together 90 sailors including future big names in sailing and others who came to realize a dream of the sea, of freedom.

The Mini 6.50s are divided into two divisions: the series and the prototype. Boats in the production division are built in series, follow stricter design rules and are generally more affordable. Prototypes, on the other hand, can incorporate more advanced technical and technological innovations.

Despite their small size, these boats are very efficient. They are designed to be fast and efficient, with lightweight hulls, deep keels for stability and powerful sails for speed.
