Abranimations (R) Mocap Fire Poi Dance Set
This is a poi set for poi dancing in Secondlife. It includes various different types of poi along with a control hud featuring motion capture poi dance animations.
Poi is the native new zealand word for a ball on a cord which is swung around the body. Poi was used by the Maori natives in female dances and for warrior training. It has a performance effect very similar to juggling, with various patterns and moves. There are many kinds of Poi. Fire poi is very popular with street performers and is possible the most elemental feeling of them all. Glow sticks might be used in club environments, and soft ribbon poi for practice and general display. The Poi included in this SL set have 3 types, neon ribbon poi, Fire poi, and magic particles poi.
** CONTENTS OF THIS PACK **
Poi Dance HUD v2.1 - This is a HUD you can wear to play standard poi moves and some tricks.
The HUD is modifiable, If you wish to resize it to take up more/less space on the screen you can adjust its size using the SL Editing tools.
- Fire Poi (particles only)
This fire poi leaves trails of fire particles behind it. It does not have any flexy ribbons.
- Fire Ribbon Poi
This poi has fire particles, but also has a glowing 'fire ribbon' effect.
- Magic Rainbow Poi
These Poi are similar to the fire ribbon poi but are made up of rainbow ribbons and emits multi colored particles.
** INSTRUCTIONS **
1) Attach the poi you wish to use, by right clicking on them in your inventory and selecting wear.
2) When you have your poi attached to your hands, right click on the control HUD in your inventory and select wear.
3) The HUD has various buttons you can click to control the Poi.
Start/Stop Button - This button will start/stop the poi dance animations.
Options button - This will display the various available options built into the poi you have attached.
Basic Movement Pattern Buttons - There are 8 basic movement buttons to switch between the basic background animation pattern.
Tricks & Moves Buttons - There are 11 buttons which you can press to perform one of moves with your poi.
The HUD can be minimized and maximised by clicking on the arrow button at the top.
The fire poi options menu (accessable by clicking on the options menu of the HUD) has the following options built in...
Sound - Turn fire sounds on/off
FireColor - Select between Normal, Red, Green, Blue & Pink fire colors
PoiSlow/PoiFast - This will alter the speed of the background dance patterns. (it does not effect the speed of the tricks)
** CONTROL THE POI DANCE HUD VIA GESTURES/CHAT COMMANDS **
The control hud can be controlled via chat commands instead of button pressing. These chat commands could be set up into gestures if you wish to trigger them in sequence, or by using special keys on your keyboard. The available chat commands are as follows...
/1hidepoihud - This will hide the poi hud from your screen
/1showpoihud - This will show the poi hud on your screen
/1poistart - Start the poi HUD
/1poistop - Stop the poi hud
/1poifast - Set the poi movement pattern speed to fast

I love many of the dance animations from Abra. Very disappointed with this product. The ribbons are segmented, not smooth. The poi glow is huge and unmodifiable, obscuring the dancer. I've watched a lot of fire dance videos and this is completely unrealistic. Don't waste your Lindens!
Terrific
This is well worth the money. The animations are smooth and gorgeous.
Animations are smooth~
However, I wish the different tricks and animations were automatic instead of me having to click each ability one at a time. Also, the tricks and moves seem to be a bit too fast for me and I don't get to enjoy it fully. Other than those issues, I do love this product.

This is great, looks very cool simply. But I do agree with others, that randomly selected auto-pilot type of function will be nice to have, especially because I bought this to make a video with it.
PS: I bought another similar product to this, from them, but this one is a way better product, looking much nicer just so you know if you wonder which one to buy.
Fast and reliable
had a little confusing situation regarding the product but the creator immediately worked on it. Couldn't be any happier. I'd rate it 6 stars for product and customer service :)

Its great that the poi chains are mod, cause im short.
No complaints here, but like others have said, a random button would be cool.
