Description:
This is a wheelchair intended to dwell in a place such as hospital setting or home, to be "driven" around by the owner or optionally by guests. If you are looking for a wheelchair to teleport with you (wearable), you should look for wheelchairs from other builders made for this purpose.
Unlike typical wearable wheelchairs, the Ice Age Industries Motorized Wheelchair is very low on prim count (9) and prim cost (12) and it can function both as a true SL vehicle or as a static prop, through a configuration menu.
While in vehicle mode, the owner can allow other users to use the wheelchair (guest mode on) or disallow them (guest mode off, the default).
The wheelchair is configurable by touching it while no one is sitting on it, through a simple pop-up menu.
A second avatar can be a wheelchair "pusher", in which case both the pusher and the sitter may control the wheelchair. If the sitter is the owner, a pop-up will ask the owner if the second avatar is allowed to be a pusher.
Aside from the controlling the guest mode, the configuration menu can also turn the vehicle mode off, which allows the wheelchair to be a simple prop where anyone can sit, but not drive around.
There's also a configuration notecard which you can edit to change the sitting location as well as the speed of the wheelchair.
Headlight: The headlight can be turned on using the PgUp or E keys and turned off using the PgDn or C keys, while sitting on the wheelchair in vehicle mode.
See item in Second Life- Wheels spin realistically as the wheelchair moves
- True SL vehicle, subject to the realistic simulation of the Havok physics engine
- When used with two avatars (sitter and pusher), both may control the wheelchair
- Very low prim count (9) and prim cost (12)
- Guest mode and Vehicle / Prop mode, easily configurable
