Congratulations on purchasing the Multi-Purpose Drop Box!!

This is an attractive easy to use drop box. Great for people to leave you a note, a job application, comments or feedback. A person can come along and drop a note or a texture into the drop box. He can also click to receive a template file which he can fill out and drop back into the drop box. Some examples of a template file would be an application, a newsletter, a survey or help information. The owner is notified by instant message that a new item is available to pick up. If someone has left something for you in the Drop Box, simply go to the box and click on it to retrieve it.

How to set up your Drop Box:

1. First set up your notecard that you want to hand out when someone
clicks on the Drop Box. In edit mode, go to Drop Box content tab and
rename the notecard named "Template" to any name you wish, for example
you can rename it to rename it to "Application to Work for Us".
2. Edit this notecard by double clicking on it. The notecard initially has some sample
information on it. Erase all the content and replace it with your content. For
instance, type out your application form and save it.
3. Edit the "Config" notecard and change the line that starts with
Template name = "Template"
Change the name to match the name of your notecard you wish to hand out:
Template name = "Application to Work for Us"
Save your notecard.
4. Customize the menu of the Drop Box. Edit the notecard named "Menu" inside the
drop box. The first line in the Menu notecard is the title that will be displayed when
someone clicks the menu. The second line is something you want to say to
the person clicking the menu. For example a title and menu text might look like this:

Advanced Options

Advanced options can be set in the configuration notecard inside the drop box. These items are optional. Each line in the configuration notecard represents something you can customize in the drop box. Rere is what you can set:

1. The name of the notecard you want to hand out to people when they click the drop box
2. The type of item you want to hand out to people. It can be a notecard or a texture.
3. A file prefix (this is antiquated but provided for backward compatibility).
4. The name of your drop box. For example "The Premium Shoppe Drop Box"
5. Show or hide the text which is displayed above the drop box
6. Display the number of retrieved items in the drop box.

You can use the included drop box script or replace it with a script of your choice.
