MultiCatUnpacker

MultyCatUnpacker is a menu-driven inventory giver script that manages multiple categories of items being given. The recepient can decide if to get all inventory or any of that categories. The recepient is either the owner of the script and inventory holding prim, or any avatar touching the prim, if configuring so.

Features

Configurable folder names for given items (for copyable items only, no-copy items are given item-by-item due a SL restriction.)

Handles correctly the copy and transfer permissions of given items.

Configurable hover text and its color, no extra script is necessary.

The rezzed box can be removed from the world via the opening menu, and will be removed automatically after configured time. No more boxes lyiing around and wasting prims. A half time before self-destroying, the box owner is warned (the message includes the SLURL to return.)

For no-copy box or content, the removal feature is deactivated (prevents loosing inventory.)

All configuration is set easilly inside a notecard, no scripting skills are necessary. Detailed configuration manual is included.

The script is copy and transfer, you can equip and resell your own product boxes with it.

Some Examples

Item distributor: A simple example is the Freeby Pack: A large number of items is distributed with a single package. The customers browse the categories via menu and pick the wanted subset of items instead of getting everything in their inventory and search there.

Inventory backup: Put items, you do not need at time into the MCU-driven box, possibly grouped by boxes each with les content and register the boxes in the notecard. If You need something again, touch the box, browse in the menu and pick the set of boxes.

Gift giver: Place the box, equiped with MCU in Your store. Fill it with gifts, landmarks, notecards, etc. Visitors touch it, select what they want to get and receive folders with selected content.

Event Calender: Put event-related content like notecards, landmarks or textures in the box (equiped by MCU) and register them under buttons named by event date. Visitors will see the date, select it and get those stuff for the event at selected date.

Working modes

The Freeby Pack contains also the personal version of the unpacker. You can use it to prepare item givers for your own use, that means the script will stil be able to give items to You and to others if configured for public access.

The only difference to the professional edition of the unpacker script is its permissions: The provessional edition is sold with set copy and transfer permissions, the personal edition without the transfer permission.

As long copy and transfer permissions are set for both, owner and next owner, the script is in locked mode and declines its work. To unlock script's features one of next owner permissions must be unchcked. For the personal edition this is already done.

If the script is unlocked, but do not find the config notecard, it runs in default mode. In this case it uses defaulst settings and provides no item categories, but 'All' category that gives the entire content.

License

By purchasing the product You accept these terms:

* 'Product' means the whole product or parts of it. 'You' means You, Your partners or Your alts.
* You are allowed to share the product or parts of it with at last two partners or alts of Yours without charge. A further resharing of the product if by You or Your alts or partners is no more allowed.
* You are not allowed to resell the product for a lower prize than you paid for the product independ of set permissions to it. Reselling means sharing it in any means while the product itself is the main part of item being given.
* You are free to sell Your creations equiped with the product, only if copy or transfer next owner permission to the product is unset and if other content of item being given is the main part of it.

This license aims to prevent the product becoming a freeby on the one side and to still allow You to equip Your own creations with it.
