Nice but it needs a few tweaks, which you can do yourself.

I don't know how old this item is but I just found it in August of 2020. Overall it looks pretty good and it's modifiable so none of the drawbacks are reason to not buy it. I'll explain what I did to improve it.

When you first rez it, expect it to be really huge. You can shrink it easily but you may have to unlink the strobe prim to get it small enough. The strobe is on an invisble prim so its size doesn't matter. The strobe is not a projector though. It looks much better if you make it a projector and reposition it to shine on the edge of the turntable. Next, it does not have materials. For most of it you can just make the "shiny" texture blank and adjust the number and the shiny color to get the various parts looking like something. The shapes and textures of the parts are all fine as delivered but adding some material shininess really improves the look. Finally I retextured the record. This was the most involved part of sprucing this up and it's really not necessary; I just wanted to. If you know how do do textures and materials, you can do it too and you'll be thrilled with the overall look if you give the record a groove and a more realistic label using materials.

So one star off for not being perfect but well deserving of four stars for being overall a good item that's pretty easy to improve. One more thing. I don't know why it says 1953. If that's supposed to be a year, they're way off. Turntables in 1953 looked nothing like this. 1973 maybe. If you're looking for something that looks early- to mid-'50s, this isn't it. It's solid '70s gear. The spin is nice. You can stop it or pick from the usual three speeds.

I recommend it but only if you're comfortable editing it!
