Ospreys are large raptors, sometimes known as sea-hawks though their diet is almost exclusively dependent on fish. Although it lives near water and hunts fish it isn't actually classed as a sea-eagle. Ospreys also have talons more closely related to owls rather than other raptors as the outside toe has the ability to turn 180 degrees to gain a better grip on slippery fish.
Not traditionally used in falconry, there has been talks and experiments in the field about using ospreys to hunt. Well congratulations! Because -you- now have the chance to try your luck at this rare opportunity!

Essentially, this item is a CUSTOM 7SEAS FISHING ROD, and is designed to be used with the 7Seas No-Animations Invisible or Phantom Pro Rod, although she is quite happy perching on your rest as a normal companion.

It's really cool when it works
On the positive side, the Osprey is nicely modeled, flies well, is nicely animated and overall is quite good looking.
There however, are a few downsides. First, the glove seems to be made for giants with undersized hands, as my to scale hands and arms for my 5' 8" height resulted in the back of the glove going to my elbow, the hand part being far too narrow and long, and adjusting it only managed to eliminate some clipping. Depending on what you are nearby, there is an invisible prim that does result in seeing through various things, I am not sure why whatever it does was not in the glove sculpts themselves. The osprey works-sometimes. As a 7seas rod, it does usually fly when you cast, however it does not work properly when autocasting is on. I was able to get it to work consistently when I paused for a bit after each catch or miss and manually casting out again, which would result in it going airborne and working properly. Clicking it to resync when using autocast does not fix it failing to loft, however it does work if manually casting.
If there is anything I'd think it needs, is the glove needs a fitmesh update so it just fits whoever, to scale or not without having to be huge, and the osprey could use some script debugging or soemthing so it would work with autocast. As it is, you won't win any contests with it and will have to constantly use the gesture or type /1 cast, but it does make solo fishing quite cool. After all, you have an osprey flying around and catching the things for you. The fun I had with it when it did work was well enough worth four over three stars, however as it stands it really does need some tweaking.
Outstanding Textures. However, note the bird will not fly off arm to go "fishing". It was bought to use in fishing with 7seas. Animation works for hand and arm. hand actually goes up to "watch" fly. But bird just lifts wings and stays put. Creator contacted, no reply.
