White deer are a result of a recessive gene which is passed down. Their lack of pigment causes their fur to appear white. There is a very rare herd of White Deer in Seneca County, New York State which is the largest in the known world! Because of their almost spirituality-type appearance, they have been protected by law from hunting. But here is YOUR chance to start a herd of your own!
