N49 Animated Texture GIF Player Media Screens v2 now with a Neon Set!

Get GIF's...

1. Go here...

and download the GIF 2 SL Animated Texture Program (Free, Windows Only).

Once downloaded unpack and save it. DO NOT USE it from within the zip else it will not save your converted files.

2. Open GIF2SL and load your GIF into it. Click 'output' and it will save the texture in the same place you have saved GIF2SL.

3. Upload the texture into SL.

4. Select the second prim plane of one of your screens, make sure the GIF-T script is in there. Drag your texture there. Eh voila GIF should play.

You can just have one GIF playing or you can have a number of GIF's in the contents tab and they will cycle randomly. Short GIF's work the best...but you can experiment.

The textures are named for example roll.anim;4;4;10. The first part is whatever your GIF is called .anim, speaks for itself...the 4;4 are the number of frames x and y and can be ignored. The last number is the frames per second. In this case it is 10 frames but you can change it to make the gif animation quicker or slower. Just see what works for your particular instance.
