This was a short personal project!
I wanted to learn about Second Life's PBR materials! I chose to make a simple visual display of PBR features as a study/practice. It doubles as a simple artsy decoration and a rough guide about PBR materials.
The display is scripted to slowly rotate, easing showing PBR features at different angles of light (lights not provided). You can preview this with the video link attached to this listing.
The contents of the display are given on touch and include:
-A notecard of information I learned, studied or found useful. It mainly contains background information rather than instructions.
-The material item used to create the display's surfaces
-Several textures used in the design of the material item
Disclaimer: the product images were taken with the "Mirror" graphics setting disabled. With the Mirror setting enabled, highly-reflective surfaces would render as black as I moved my view closer. I don't know why! I'll probably understand it later.
