Wattle is a lightweight construction material made by weaving thin branches (either whole, or more usually split) or slats between upright stakes to form a woven lattice. It has commonly been used to make fences and hurdles for enclosing ground or handling livestock. The wattle may be made as loose panels, slotted between timber framing to
make infill panels, or it may be made in place to form the whole of a fence or wall. The technique goes back to Neolithic times (approx. 10,200 BC to 2000 BC).
Nightside Studio now offers mesh Wattle Fence Build Kit. This kit will provide excellent historical or fantasy flavor for sim design or individual builds. Included are 6 mesh fence pieces (plus an extra mesh end pole), diffuse, normal,
AO and UV maps for all pieces. To keep the fence pieces realistic, we have included 6 maps and corresponding normal
maps for the lateral "twigs". All pieces have 8 faces. Wood ends are mapped as well to resemble real cut logs or twigs.
Please grab a demo and have a closer look. All pieces are less than 1 to 2 LI each. The demos I put together are Max
6 LI. So building a fence, coral, pen, etc. is very resource efficient.

This is absolutely fantastic.
I was looking for exactly this and was hoping to find either nothing or just some daft dodgy alpha texture fence but then found this kit and it is amazing.
Detailed mesh, no alpha texture nonsense, relatively low land impact, easy to work with and even comes with a damaged bit that fell over!
I was so excited about it.
Perfect for my medieval/tudor zone in Time Portal.
