Human shapes vary a great deal, but they do tend to stay within certain PROPORTIONS. Human proportions are based on head height. This 8 head height attached Rig is perfect as a guide to getting your shape into human proportions !

Not complicated → and simple to use, and no editing prims or reading pages of info !

If your goal is a specific or current Avatar height, do this:

You attach the HUD & RIG then do avatar Appearance to edit your shape. On the HUD you adjust scale and position of the RIG to match you avatar's shape height - The hud will calculate what your proportional head height is and the entire rig will re-size automagically so all the guides will be in the correct places!.

Now all you have to do is first adjust your Head Size to fit between the calipers and then the rest of your Shape to the guides etc. The outline drawing even slides over to further guide you.

If you have ever tried adjusting shapes using prims ... and the editing of the prim sizes over and over, or scaled backdrops etc. you know how frustrating and time consuming that is!

This tool eliminates all that and makes it simple and easy!

The rig has poses built-in and works with Edit Appearance.

In Second Life many factors influence how users adjust shapes - some factors are:

Camera angles, looking down at your avatar, your head appears larger, your legs shorter ...
the size of your friends! ...
having no clue what human proportions are based on etc.

This rig will give you confidence that your shape is human proportioned, eliminating tiny heads, short arms, unrealistically long legs ! and more.

The rig does not dictate what height you should be, instead it can be used to make shapes with the exact height you desire.
