Introducing the "New Dawn" mertail

Fitted for Signature Gianni, Bento compatible, uses both BOM and High Definition textures as you wish.

<< Try out the new Tinting HUD (does what the edit window does but, erm... on a HUD! >>

Fully modifiable and designed from the start to be easy for you to customize, with lots of faces and sensible texture mapping. In BOM mode, it is as easy to use as clicking a BOM wearable, with the benefit of being able to add and stack more tattoos on top. In HiDef mode, the texture space is many times higher for more detailed textures, with all faces available for independent texturing.

Since BOM does not apply advanced materials, there is a materials applier system and suitable appliers are provided which are customised for each of my base BOM textures. Even in BOM mode, the tail can be tinted and customized in the Edit window.

My tail skins make heavy use of advanced materials. You really need it to see the skins to their best, especially the darker skins (deep blue for instance) which really come to life when hit with light and erupt in a show of multi colours.

Appliers are also available for High Definition skins, with much more detail than can be provided in the limited BOM channels. While this cannot perform tattoo stacking like BOM, the benefit of being able to customize much more and with higher texture resolutions gives undeniably good results.

The tail parts can be worn individually if you wish; each main part is a separate item although there is also a fully linked tail for ease of use.

The New Dawn tail does not have built in animations. I suggest the new Merman Bento AO from Umiushi; that's what I used during designing and testing the tail and it works perfectly. Some of the animations work particularly well with the long side fins as the body twists and the fins spiral around it.

Many useful utility appliers are provided such as a BOM reset, HiDef reset and a script remover. Also included is a full creators' pack with transferable appliers, a config recorder, full instructions and a link to download all UV and AO maps for both BOM and HiDef texture spaces.

A light pastel BOM skin and material applier is supplied with the tail as a starter (it's also good if you want to slightly tint the colour). Other skins can be purchased individually or in fatpacks. All skins for the New Dawn tail will work on any of the avatar bodies supported (so far Lara and Aesthetic, more to follow).

Please note the above; any other colours shown in the advert images are for information only. You only get the light coloured starter skin unless you buy the fatpack or skin packs.

The tail is intentionally designed to be a very close fit to the avatar body, rather than having a wide bulge to prevent slight breakthrough or using a higher, transparent body part. The fit works well with most shape sliders, even the belly (be a fat Merman!) but not really the Butt (which works up to about 40-50%, but really it looks best 0-10% anyway - you're a merman, it's a different anatomy!) and Saddlebags (which technically work, but just look bad). Try the Demo, and play with the sliders. You'll be happy.

Please try the demo; it's the only way to be sure. I know you'll like it :)

As usual, this tail started out as something I was making for myself and partners. Like everything I make it's designed to a very high standard, with all hand-made LOD models and carefully balanced between looks and render cost.

Usual disclaimers: No refunds (try the demo first) except for accidental, quick double purchases.
