Nimbus Wind driven Hang Glider.
Nimbus is a easy handling hang glider ideal for begginers. Its stability and good performance make the nimbus the best option both for learning and recreational purposes, and above all fun. If you are looking for a glider for learning to soar on sl the Nimbus is the best option for you.
Wind driven hang glider:
This hang glider, just like a real one, is an unpowered aircraft that depends on rising air current's for gaining altitude and speed. The 3D-Wind script's powering this hang glider generate these air flows in real time using environmental SL conditions, like the SL's flat 2D wind, the shape of terrain and sun position. The pilot must use his skill to take advantage of them in order to fly long distances and stay flying for long periods of time as a real glider would.
If you don't know about RL soaring don't worry, Nimbus comes with a brief soaring guide note card which tells you all what you need to start in the art of soaring. With a bit of training you will soon be gliding all over SL.

Really Fun!
This is the most realistic hang glider in SL. Some advice to new flyers would be to fly with the wind to gain speed then turn around and cut into it at an angle and pull up slightly to gain altitude then turn away from it and do it again. Do this over and over correctly and you can stay up for a very long time. It simulates thermal updrafts too over land and is super fun once you get the hang of it. A new flyer will need to learn how to circle around and use the wind to his or her advantage both ways or you will just end up stalling. This product is worth every linden spent. I would like to see more products from this creator. Very nice work! There is no better glider flight system in SL trust me because I purchased many of them. I recommend the standard Nimbus. This is a great alternative to a helicopter or airplane if you have some elevation you can use to launch. Just get this one here and practice, don't give up, and you'll thoroughly enjoy it I promise. The person who said the script system is out of date on these has no idea what they are talking about. This is the most advanced glider in SL by far hands down. And you know what who cares if it's not mesh its sculpted. It looks as good as any mesh product and you don't have to worry about LOD levels from a distance with this. You can see it from far away and it's low land impact. This creator is obviously very talented and deserves a good reputation so I'm leaving a 5 star review.
Excellent and very realistic
Not for the totally noob to aircraft but as a RL hang glider pilot, this is as close to real as you'll get on SL. My only issue is, so far, I haven't figured out how to change the wing texture/color. Would like to know what the differences are between this and the $2k model? Unless there is something major, this model does just fine.
