In Noank, Connecticut, between Mystic and Groton there is a very good lobster restaurant, Abbott's Lobster in the Rough. To get there you have to pass a few boat yards and wind through the streets of houses that have been summer residences for years. This is a small house that we noticed and thought would be an excellent small refuge in Second Life. It looks as if it has been there for a long time and seen a lot of sailors going to and from the boat yards around the corner. So, if your interests are elsewhere, on your sailboat and sailing, and you just want a place to keep your stuff and dry your sails, this is an appropriate size and should fit the bill.
All we've ever seen is the exterior, so we've imagined a useful interior. This house has modify permissions so that you may customize the textures, add partitions, or extend the basic structure to fit your parcel. It also has copy permissions so that you can rez another copy and start over if a modification is not to your liking.
Doors use NDE scripting and can be locked, set to private or group, or set to request payment. Windows also use NDE privacy window scripts and can be Open, Closed or Shaded.
This house is packaged with Rez-Faux. You rez the package box from inventory and then follow the instructions on the blue menu. I suggest that you rez a copy of the package from inventory and then raise it about 5 meters above the ground before rezzing the structure. The box will be in front of and above the front steps. You can move and rotate the box to position the structure. (There are 6 pieces in the package and it is much easier to position them together with the rez package than manipulate them individually.) After you are satisfied, you can save the position of the house and delete the package box. Do not delete the original version of the package from your inventory. It serves as backup.

1.7 version - Finally got around to tearig the build apart to find one "bad" prim. I've updated that one prim and removed an inadvertantly embedded non-copy texture. Also took the opportunity to repackaged the build using Rez-Faux.
1.6 version - reworked the door textures to give a slight bit of transparency. They are supposed to be glass pannels.

I have purchased several house designs by this builder and love the historical authenticity. These are great house builds using quality textures - wonderful designs if you are looking for a realistic New England theme or feel.
