Weimar! Presents;
Not so secret Diary - Mesh - Green version
---------------------

*ABOUT THE OBJECT:
Dear diary...
Add your own notecards to this book to keep a diary or simply a handy inworld place to share notecards with friends.
This is the public version of the diary, that means that everyone who clicks it has access to the notecards inside.
If you prefer not to share, look for the Secret version that I also sell.
This book enables you to store your notecards and share them with others in a clear, menu driven manner.
A nice way to share your personal thoughts, love letters, stories, links or general notes.
It can also just be used as a sort of mailbox, leaving it on your kitchen table with notes for your family.
And of course you don't even have to use it, it will look great just as a prop.

This is the MESH version, that means that it looks a lot better then the prim version and has a smaller land impact, but it only looks good for people with a up to date viewer.

*ABOUT ME:
I am a Dutch woman obsessed with history, in RL I am a researcher.
Europe in the first half of the 20th century, inspires me especially Germany during the Weimar Republic (1918-1933).
More below.

*SCALE:
Most avatars and sims in SL have a totally unrealistic scale.
I hate this.
My avatar is about 6ft, just like I am in RL, compared to most avatars in SL I look like a child.
I build a sim in a more realistic scale and compared to SL in general things here are small.
That means that the objects I make are made for realistic avatars, if they seem small to you this probably is because you are perhaps very big.

Now, here is a nice little extra thing you can do with this Mesh diary; you can customise it!
But please be careful, you only have one copy and I will not replace it every time you make a mistake.
You can replace the textures of the book and the pictures and photos sticking out the side.
To do this, zoom in as much as possible, then drag a texture from your inventor onto the side of the object you want to replace.
For instance, drag a photo of your loved one and drag it onto the photo of the lady sticking out the side of the book.
But be careful, if you accidently drag it onto the cover of the diary, it will replace that!
Any of my textures you replace on the diary, is gone for ever.
And you may end up with a very weird looking object!

*PRIMS/LAND IMPACT:
Land impact; 1 prim.
0.1 Download
0.5 Physics
0.8 Server
2957 Display
In short, they will only count as 1 prim.

*ABOUT MESH
If you make Mesh items bigger, they will usually start having a bigger land impact and cost you more prims.
The item should look good but from a certain distance it may look distorted.
To make sure you see mesh in SL at well as possible, you may need to change the settings of your viewer.
This generally isn't needed but if you think that mesh often looks a bit bad, you may try this;
-Click ctrl+D to add the 'advanced' tab to the options at the top of your screen.
-Click 'show debug settings'
-In the Debug Settings look for 'MeshMaxConcurrentRequests' and change the value to 128, this will not have an impact on how SL will work for you but it will make mesh look better.

5 Stars for Diary LM for in-world Store!
full star full star full star full star full star Posted June 05, 2017 by iJustWannaDance

The LM in your description, AND on this marketplace store does NOT take us to your in-world store!! ALSO, the LM included with this product (and probably all your products) does NOT take us to your in-world store. Clicking on the LM included with this product took me to a 1920's or 1940's sim (not sure which) where I had looked everywhere for your store and could NOT find it. However, after putting the name of your store in the search while in-world it came up. THE SECOND ONE took me to your store, the first in the results was the same place your LM took me to.

I had decided to delete my first review for 2 reasons. First I had found a way to your store thanks to the in-world search. And 2nd, I know that most won't read replies to comments and I really wanted everyone who reads this review to have an LM to your store. So I decided to delete my first review and in this review include the LM to your store.

Here it is folks: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Time%20Portal/247/13/1930

True we can buy your stuff in your marketplace store, but some things you MUST go in-world in order to make sure it's something worth your lindens. For example your furniture. I love your furniture, but really want to TRY THEM before buying and for that I needed to get into your in-world store.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! fix the LM in your description AND on the side of your marketplace store, because it is NOT working and does NOT take us to your in-world store. Also, I understand why you placed the LM you did with this (and probably all of your products), it's a great sim that I fully intend to check out, BUT I (as well as others) would greatly appreciate it if you could ALSO include an LM to your in-world store. Yes I know it's easy to find when you click on the LM you had included BUT not if you've never been to this sim before!!

What a wonderful, lovingly crafted piece, at an absolute bargain price! Well designed, well textured and looks genuinely "battered". Easy to use too; the fact that it takes notecards, not just entries like many other diaries available in SL means considerable freedom with regards to the content it can store. An excellent idea, well executed. Five stars, without a doubt.

I have only one small complaint. I do understand why such items are no copy, yet it is a well known fact that things do wrong in SL from time to time. One would certainly warm to such an item as a diary, especially if it is full of notes and losing it to some SL glitch would be very sad indeed. I purchased another one for backup but I think, it would make sense if the creator provided a backup option in the original package. Having lost some precious, irreplaceable items in the past, I tend to shy away from purchasing anything no copy and perhaps many think the same way.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I almost passed this up because it said 'no modify', but that would have been a mistake. I am so glad I bought this. I'm so happy with it, that I bought a 2nd one AND the Secret one! The reason I almost passed this up, was because I thought that maybe I wouldn't be able to add notecards into it because it was 'no modify'. BUT I'm here to tell you, that it does exactly what the creator says it does. You CAN add notecards to it, and anyone can get a copy of your notecards by clicking on this book. Honestly, I had planned on changing the cover even though I loved the looks of it when I saw a photo of it here on market place. BUT when I took it out of my inventory and saw it in-world, I changed my mind. It's beautiful, no way was I going to attempt to change the looks of the cover because I didn't want to risk ruining it. I bought the first one to store Bible Books Notecards. Genesis to Revelation, each notecard in each 'book' in the bible will have it's own notecard. This will be perfect, anyone clicking on the book can choose the book and chapter that they want. There's also button from the menu to take all of the notecards, which I love. The first one I bought I only wanted to use for Bible Books (1611 AKJ). I bought a 2nd to use for anything else I might want to share. The secret one I bought just for my own personal use, that I wouldn't want 'everyone' to be able to take the notecards inside.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BUY THIS!! I am so grateful to Jo Yardley for making this affordable AND easy to use! This product is worth so much more than $93 Lindens!
