This script will read out to nearby say the contents of any notecards you place within the prim containing the script.
Upon touch, a menu is opened up which lets you choose the notecard to read out the contents of.
Note there is a limitation that any notecards cannot have names longer than 24 characters (script will produce an error otherwise). Tested with up to 30 notecards in one prim, although functionally there is no limit, practically you might not want pages upon pages of notecards to select from.
Another version of the script is included which outputs the text as floating text on the prim in question, however you'll likely want very short notecards if you utilize this option.
Possible use cases:
- Creating a 'To do' or 'Shopping list' prim
- Creating a very basic dialogue system with NPC's in a game
- Creating a message or bulletin board
- Creating simple welcome prims and help prims with FAQS
- Leaving notes for your friends
