The Ocean Star is a drivable cargo ship ICS scripted.
That means people with ICS combat scripted warships will be able to sink you. But dont worry you still can get into a row boat then, or the life raft, what will get rezzed by the ship when it's sinking.
The ship will sinks very slow and realistic.
The ship comes with menu for lights, horn, smoke and cranes.
The cranes turn to waterside and and rezz a rowboat and and a ladder for climbing down.
Full walkable interior with many poses for crew members.
The ship is 54 m long , 167 prims/432 by sailing

A really beautifully made vessel!
I purchased this, planning that I could actually gut the interior and customize it as a yacht/ship, sort of a super-miniature "White Star Line" luxury vessel. I was not disappointed. Being that this is mod, the textures are so easy to work with, and the link sets were super easy too. My home/estate is set in an older age Italian Villa style, so something more turn of the century was called for. This is excellent quality, and is the perfect addition to my sim - thank you!
great merchant ship
This ship is excellent, accurately built in every detail, it finally offers a good quality merchant ship to roleplayers and collectors in Second Life. I've particularly liked the original animations for both crew and passengers, at multiple location on the ship. The many rooms inside are ideal settings for fun roleplay. Being scripted in ICS combat meter, it can also play a role in war roleplay. I hope to see more good merchant ships like this in SL!
An alright ship.
I'll start with the pros and cons.
PROS
- Good design
- A good amount of interior to walk around in.
- Detailed inside and out.
- Plenty of places to sit.
- Ladders actually animate you rather than plopping you in the boat.
CONS
- Does not handle realistically. Turns way to sharp and fast.
- Goes a bit too fast for a ship this size even at half speed, which is the lowest speed setting.
- No anchor or anything like that.
- The horn sounds every time you touch your keyboard.
Now the rest of this is just me being a bit picky.
The way the ship looks here on the marketplace made me think it was a steam ship, but I was wrong. It's a diesel ship. The rear cargo hatch also leads to the engine room, so there's not really a reason for it or the crane there. The cranes don't do anything either and the cargo hatches are just there to look pretty. Also I could never find the yellow box for the life jackets. I guess they only rez when you're sinking, but I can't test that.
It's not the best ship, but it's not the worst either. You'd have to pay like L$8,000 for a yacht of this size even if it was made of prims, so I think it is worth the price. I think it's alright over all but could use improvements.
