Nepeta is a Troll, the dominant species of planet Alternia. Once described as "...kind of like klingons, or something." trolls are a typically violent, warrior race ruled by a hierarchy based on blood color (ie, blue bloods are LITERALLY blue blooded.)
Nepeta's blood, Olive Green, is considered the "middle class", and the color is referred to as "ok but not great". Her position on the hemospectrum grants her no inherent powers, and as such, it is believed that somewhere in the green part of the hemospectrum is where trolls start to be born more likely without psychic powers.
