This table is richly decorated with elegant marquetry: pieces of fine veneer of contrasting woods and other materials cut into tiny pieces and arranged to form a pattern. It's made in the same style than the cabinet made between 1670 and 1680 at the Parisian court. It is probably an early piece by André Charles Boulle who worked for King Louis XIV of France.
