Large octagonal gueridon, designed for the decoration of the residence of the Empress Josephine de Beauharnais, the Chateau de Malmaison in 1808.
made of mahogany wood, it is composed of a plinth on which are supported 8 columns in gilded bronze with bell-shaped capitals, with motifs of palmettes, supporting a frieze in which each of its 8 sides represents different allegories to the 4 seasons. The porphyry plaque in shades of violet.
