"Griaß God",

the famous German Gingerbread Heart decorated with sweets and icing depicting the text "Oktoberfest München". It is a wonderful add-on to be worn with my "Oktoberfest Girl" costume (see related items below), any other Dirndl or Lederhosen costume, or any party outfit.

The very first gingerbread was possibly invented in Egypt about 1800 years ago. Around 1296, gingerbread was mentioned the very first time in Germany and many local variations of the receipt were quickly developed such as the "Nürnberger Lebkuchen", "Aachener Printen", "Rosner Lebkuchen", "Bentheimer Moppen", "Pulsnitzer Pfefferkuchen", "Neisser Konfekt" and "Mecklenburger Pfeffernüsse".

Awards:

- Okt. 2024: Best selling free Oktoberfest item (yes, after ten years it is still the #1)
